Alright, guys, let’s talk about this thing I did. I tried to remake a fancy watch, the Patek Philippe Gondolo 7041R-001. I guess that’s the name, and the long number is some kind of code for it. This is the kind made with that pinkish gold, called rose gold, 18k or something like that.
So, first, I looked around online to see what this watch was all about. Found out people are selling these remakes for some serious cash, like nearly thirty thousand bucks! I saw some listed as used, made in 2020, with the original box and everything. This particular one was called a Patek Philippe Gondolo, and I found out the Gondolo is the name of the line, and these watches have rectangle faces, which is not something you see every day.
I started by gathering all the info I could. Pictures, descriptions, anything to get a good idea of what I was trying to do. This watch, it’s rectangular, not round. And the Gondolo line is where Patek Philippe puts all its watches that aren’t round, like the ones that are square or shaped like a cushion.
Then I got to work. I didn’t have any fancy tools, just some basic stuff. I tried to copy the shape of the watch case the best I could. I used some materials that looked like rose gold, but of course, it wasn’t the real deal. I tried to make it look as much like the pictures as I could.
I worked on the details.It was tough, trying to get everything just right.

The Result
In the end, I had something that looked kinda like the real Patek Philippe Gondolo 7041R-001. Of course, it wasn’t perfect, not even close to the real thing that costs tens of thousands of dollars. But it was something I made with my own hands, and I’m pretty proud of it. It’s a reminder that you can do a lot with just some effort and a few tools. It might not be perfect, but it’s mine, and that’s what matters.
It’s not going to fool anyone into thinking it’s a real Patek, but it was a fun project. And who knows, maybe one day I’ll try to make another one, and it’ll be even better.
