Where to Buy a Remake Patek Philippe Gondolo 7041R-001 Classic Style?

Hey everyone, it’s your boy back again with another project. Today, got something a bit different – decided to mess around with a remake of the Patek Philippe Gondolo 7041R-001. You know, the one with that classic, kinda old-school vibe? Yeah, that’s the one.

So, started digging around for info on this thing. Found out it’s a rose gold, manual wind piece from around 2016, which is pretty neat. Apparently, the original has a Caliber 215 PS movement with small seconds and 18 jewels. Fancy, right? But, honestly, I just liked the way it looked, all sleek and simple.

First thing, got to gather all the stuff needed. Found a decent base watch that kinda had the same feel. Then, spent hours looking at pictures of the real 7041R-001, trying to figure out what makes it tick, literally. The dial, the hands, the case – tried to get as close as possible with what available.

The tricky part was definitely the dial. The original has this subtle texture that’s hard to copy. Ended up experimenting with a few different techniques before settled on something that looked halfway decent. Not perfect, but hey, it’s a remake, not a replica.

  • Sourcing the base watch – That took a while, not gonna lie.
  • Modifying the dial – Probably the hardest part.
  • Changing the hands – Needed to find ones that matched the original’s style.
  • Polishing the case – Wanted to give it that shiny, rose gold look.

Putting It All Together

Once got all the parts sorted, started putting it all together. This is where things got real interesting. Took apart the base watch, swapped out the dial and hands, and gave the case a good polish. It was like a puzzle, but way more satisfying when it all came together.

And boom, had my own version of the Gondolo 7041R-001. It’s not the real deal, obviously, and I’m not trying to fool anyone. But it’s got that same classic style, and, for like 20 bucks, I’m not complaining. It’s a fun little piece that I’m proud to wear, even if it’s just around the house.

So, that’s my little adventure with remaking a classic watch. Learned a lot, messed up a few times, but in the end, it was all worth it. Hope you guys enjoyed the story. Catch you in the next one!
