I saw this watch at an Omega event. It was an event that had a bunch of fun watches there, so it was pretty cool. This one, though, really caught my eye – the Omega Speedmaster Super Racing. Man, the 3D effects on the dial were just awesome, but it wasn’t all cluttered up or anything. Still classy and easy to read, you know?
Now, I know some folks are all about the rarity of these things, and yeah, the Speedmaster has some of those limited editions that can be worth a good chunk of change later on. This Super Racing model, though, it’s not just about being rare. It’s about what’s inside.
So, this watch is the first one from Omega to have this new “Spirate System.” What’s that mean? Basically, it makes the watch crazy accurate. They’re saying it’ll be off by no more than like, two seconds a day. That’s insane!

- Size: It’s a bit on the bigger side at 44.25mm, but it doesn’t feel huge on your wrist.

I did some digging, and apparently, this technology is gonna make its way into other Omega watches down the line. That’s pretty cool, right? I mean, they figured out how to make this complicated stuff on a larger scale, so more people can get their hands on it.
They started making these Super Racing watches in 2023, so it’s a pretty new thing. I also saw some stuff online where people were talking about finding used ones for decent prices. Some folks were even hoping for, like, super good fakes to come out at a lower price, but I don’t know about all that.

All in all, getting to see and hold this Omega Speedmaster Super Racing was a real treat. It’s not just another fancy watch. It felt like a big step forward in watchmaking. I think 2023 is shaping up to be a pretty big year for Omega. They’re always doing new stuff, and this Super Racing is just the beginning, I bet.
