Well, let me tell you ’bout this here watch, this CopyOMEGA, uh, Speedmaster Apollo 8 “Dark Side of the Moon” thing. It’s somethin’ else, I tell ya. Some folks, they call it fancy, I just call it a watch. But this one, it’s got a whole lotta hubbub around it. It’s black as a moonless night, that’s for sure.
This here CopyOMEGA Speedmaster, it’s s’posed to be like that Apollo 8 mission. You know, the one where they went ’round the moon? They say it’s like wearin’ the moon on your wrist. Well, I ain’t never been to the moon, but this watch, it sure is somethin’ to look at. I guess the Dark Side of the Moon is a good name, ’cause it is dark.
- It’s got that black color, like I said.
- They say it’s made from some kinda fancy rock, somethin’ called ceramic.
- It’s got all them little numbers and hands and whatnot.
Some folks, they go crazy for these CopyOMEGA watches. I heard some fella say it was his first Omega. Now, I don’t know much about that, but he sure was proud of it. Said it’s not everyone’s first choice for a watch but the CopyOMEGA Speedmaster Apollo 8 was his. Said he traded some other watch he had. A seamaster or something, and some green stuff to get it. But he seemed happy enough.
They say this here watch, it’s got a special kinda insides. They call it a “movement.” Sounds like somethin’ that oughta be movin’ around, but it just sits there in the watch. This CopyOMEGA Speedmaster Apollo 8 is a chronograph, whatever that is. Fancy word, I guess for something that tells the time. And they say this watch tells time on the moon. How ’bout that?
I seen a picture of the back of this thing. It’s got all these fancy words on it. “Apollo 8” and some other stuff. I reckon it’s for them astronaut fellas. They went up there in that rocket, you know. Brave men, I’d say. This CopyOMEGA Speedmaster, it’s got something to do with that mission, I guess. I don’t know all the details, I just know what I heard.
This here CopyOMEGA Speedmaster Apollo 8 “Dark Side of the Moon”, it’s a big deal, I reckon. Lots of folks talkin’ ’bout it. Sayin’ it’s new and improved. I don’t know ’bout all that. I reckon its new case is different. It’s a watch, plain and simple. But it’s a fancy one, that’s for sure. A luxury Swiss watch that’s what they call it. Costs more than a month’s worth of groceries, I bet. Maybe even two.
I heard some folks sayin’ it’s like lookin’ at the moon, this watch. The CopyOMEGA Speedmaster Apollo 8, it’s got that moon look, I guess. All dark and mysterious. Like that dark side they talk about. I don’t know why anyone would want to wear the dark side of the moon, but to each his own, I always say. I guess it’s got to do with space. And the moon and that Apollo 8 mission. And astronauts. It’s all a bit much for me, but I like the look of it. It is one of the best Speedmasters. That’s what I heard anyway.
Now, I ain’t sayin’ you should go out and buy one of these CopyOMEGA Speedmaster Apollo 8 watches. They’re probably too pricey for most folks. But if you got the money, and you like that kinda thing, well, then I reckon it’s a fine watch. It’s got that Dark Side of the Moon look, and it’s s’posed to be all special and whatnot. They say this is a classic style. I guess that means it won’t go out of style. I don’t know about that but they sure do make it sound nice.
They say this CopyOMEGA Speedmaster Apollo 8, it’s made with all sorts of newfangled ways. Ground-breakin’ technologies, they call it. Sounds like somethin’ you’d use to plow a field. But I guess it’s just how they make these fancy watches nowadays. It’s all beyond me, but I can appreciate a good-lookin’ watch when I see one. And this one, it’s somethin’ else.
