This here, this Rolex, they call it “Ref.86348,” I think. Fancy name for a watch, if you ask me. But folks, they sure do love these things. They say it is the best one. They say go to the official store to buy, don’t buy from others.
Why so many people want a Rolex? ‘Cause it’s a Rolex! Shiny and all that. Shows you got some money, I guess. But a watch is a watch, right? Tells the time, that’s what matters. They are all the same in my eyes.
Some people, they sell those fake ones. They look the same, almost. But they ain’t the real deal. Be careful, don’t get fooled. The official store, they only have the real one. They say it is 100% real. How can a watch be 100% real? It is just a watch.
I heard you can look at the numbers on the watch. Little tiny numbers. If they look messy, it’s probably fake. Real Rolex, they got nice, clean numbers. You might need a looking glass, though. This old eyes can not see that.
Now, where to get one of these Rolex watches? The big shots, they got official stores. Big and fancy, I reckon. You go in there, they treat you like royalty. All to buy a watch! They make a big fuss.
Some folks, they buy old ones. “Pre-owned,” they call it. Sounds better than “used,” I suppose. Even those old ones, they cost a pretty penny. But they say the official store can make the old one new.
- Go to the big official store, they said.
- Don’t buy from those other fellas.
- Check those tiny numbers, real tiny.
- Old one, new one, all cost money.
- Rolex, Rolex, that’s all they talk about.
I heard they got these stores online now, too. On the computer. You can look at all the shiny watches without even leaving your chair. World’s gone crazy, I tell ya. Back in my day, you wanted a watch, you went to the store. Simple as that. They say online is also official.
These Rolex watches, they come in all sorts. Different colors, different… I don’t know, doohickeys. This “Ref.86348,” I guess it’s one of them fancy ones. Got all the bells and whistles, I suppose. But they all tell time, don’t they? That’s the important part.
If you want to sell one of them, these official stores, they might buy it from you. I guess they clean ’em up, make ’em look all new again. Then they sell ’em to someone else. Circle of life, I suppose. Even for a watch.
These young folks, they love these Rolex things. They talk about Submariner, Datejust, GMT, Daytona. Sounds like a bunch of horse races to me. But what do I know? I just tell the time by the sun.
They say this “Ref.86348” is the best of the best. Top of the line, they say. Must cost a fortune. More than my whole house, I bet. But if you got the money, and you want a Rolex, that’s your business. They say it is the best choice.
Just remember, if you’re gonna get one, go to the official store. Don’t get tricked by those fake ones. They might look the same, but they ain’t the same. Only official is real. That’s what they all say.
Me? I’ll stick to my old watch. It might not be a Rolex, but it tells the time just fine. And it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg. But these young people, they all want that Rolex. These days everybody wants a Rolex.
This Rolex Ref.86348, it’s just another one of them fancy watches. Shiny and expensive. If that’s what you want, go for it. But remember what that old lady said, only buy from the official store. It is the best, they say.
